The Houston Texans continue to make significant changes upon entering the first season under the new regime of head coach David Culley and general manager Nick Caserio in 2021. According to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter, the Texans reportedly parted ways with the director of football administration in Kevin Karjcovic.

Equipment manager Mike Parson and his staff were also relieved while another longtime employee in Doug West was booted out from the Texans' camp. It was reported that quarterback Deshaun Watson had a close bond with Parson and that the moves didn't bode well with most of the current players.

As per Schefter, the changes didn't bode well with the Texans players. Moreover, it was all part of the Texans' plan to remove all employees who weren't personally hired by executive vice president Jack Easterby and Nick Caserio. The new members of the front office plan to instate personnel who are going to be indebted to them for their work.

The latest moves only added more fuel to the fire regarding Watson's irreparable situation. Back in late January, the three-time Pro Bowler already requested an official trade from the team and even gained the support of a handful of the team's veteran players.

He is also reportedly willing to sit out the 2021 NFL season if he doesn't get traded in the coming offseason, which was a clear indication that he won't suit up for the Texans ever again in the future.

Despite the resistance from Watson, the Houston-based squad remains adamant that it does not intend to part ways with their quarterback. It remains to be seen if the two sides will change their respective stances in the coming weeks but the situation is certainly one to keep an eye on moving forward.
