Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan says small forward Andre Roberson still isn't doing any on-court work, but he confirms the organization is still hopeful the swingman can play this season.

Andre Roberson suffered a ruptured left patellar tendon last season and has sustained two setbacks this campaign which have derailed his comeback and rehab regiment.

In 39 games last season for the Thunder, Roberson averaged 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 53.7 percent from the field, 22.2 percent from beyond the arc and 31.6 percent from the free-throw line.

As everyone knows, Roberson isn't that good of an offensive player. His value is on the defensive end of the floor, as Roberson is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. The 27-year-old made the 2017 All-Defensive team.

You have to feel for Roberson. When rehabbing serious injuries, the last thing you want to experience is a setback. Roberson has suffered two setbacks, so OKC is going to be very careful with him and won't hesitate to rule him out for the season if that's what the doctors say is the best course of action.

The Thunder entered Thursday with a record of 37-19, good for third place in the Western Conference standings.
