Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George says the team has everything they need to go on a deep postseason run, which is why the All-Star swingman is still processing how they got knocked out in the first round of the playoffs again.

The Thunder lost to the Utah Jazz in six games in the 2018 postseason. After trading Carmelo Anthony and adding Dennis Schröder, Nerlens Noel and Markieff Morris, OKC was primed to make a run this season.

That didn't happen, though, as the Thunder lost to Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers in five games in the first round.

George says he's still trying to wrap his head around the next step for the Thunder after a second-straight short postseason.

“That’s something I think we’re all trying to work on internally, figure out what can we do, because this is a team that can go far,” George said, via Brett Dawson of The Athletic. “We have pieces in place to have a long postseason run. I am trying to figure out what it is for this group.”

The shoulder injury Paul George dealt with during the second half of the season affected his jump shot. He wasn't nearly as effective for the Thunder as he was at the beginning of the season when he was playing like an MVP.

The Thunder aren't going to trade star point guard Russell Westbrook despite every critic saying the franchise should. OKC needs to get better from the inside, as they don't have money to reshape the roster through free agency.
