The Minnesota Timberwolves have set their eyes on lefty sharp-shooting free agent C.J. Miles, as the team looks to bolster its perimeter attack.

Having now traded their prized talisman in Paul George, the Indiana Pacers would be interested in doing a sign-and-trade for Miles, which would include taking on Cole Aldrich‘s contract plus a draft pick for next year in return, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN Radio.

The Wolves have been aggressive in their pursuit of a long-range threat, extending an offer to shooting guard Nick Young on Tuesday night, who is a great candidate to take the room exception.

A 10-year veteran, Young benefitted from one of the better shooting seasons in recent memory, making the most of his time in purple-and-gold to the tune of 13.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 43 percent from the floor, 40.4 percent from deep, and 85.6 percent from the line.

Miles on the other hand, has had a stable role in Indiana as the sixth man of the team, but wants more than the room exception for his services. He made an average salary of $4.9 million during his three-year tenure in Indiana, signed with the mid-level exception.
