Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns didn't let the disrespect of one Memphis Grizzlies fan slide.

After the Timberwolves lost a close encounter with the Grizzlies in overtime on Monday, a Memphis fan decided to mock Minnesota and Towns while they were exiting the court. The said home supporter waved good bye as the Minnesota players were heading to the locker room.

KAT saw the mockery and decided to response physically by slapping the hands of the said Grizzlies fan.

Petty? Maybe. But who can blame him? Karl-Anthony Towns gave it his all in the game and definitely deserved some respect for making it a worthwhile watch for the city of Memphis.

It is also worth noting that Towns banked the Hail Mary buzzer-beater in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime. He finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds in a losing effort after the Timberwolves fell short in OT.

Then again, it's normal for home fans to try to annoy the visiting opponents. Mocking gestures are pretty normal in the league and should be fine as long as it doesn't go over the line. That's part of the sport anyway.

Fortunately for Towns and the rest of the Timberwolves, they have a chance to avenge their loss next week when the Grizzlies visit them at Target Center. Hopefully, though, Minnesota fans will help the Wolves annoy Memphis and get into the players' heads.
