NFL rushing leader Derrick Henry chimed in on the matter of Houston Texans Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson's trade request. Henry is not worried about what team colors Watson will don. He is just relieved that there is a chance that the Titans don't meet him twice a year anymore.

Per Lorenzo Reyes of USA TODAY Sports:

“That would be better for us. Every year we play them it's always tough and always comes down to the wire. That's the kind of player Deshaun is. I know Deshaun, so I wish the best for whatever happens for him, but like I said, that's better for us that he's out of the division. We definitely appreciate it.”

There is truth to Henry's statements. Watson is 3-3 against the Titans in his career, throwing for 1,745 yards and 17 touchdowns in those six games. His career passer rating against Tennessee is an impressive 119.2.

Watson put up massive numbers in the two meetings this season, though the Titans won two shootouts. The star quarterback threw for 700 yards and seven touchdowns with a 73.7% completion rate in the two games, good for a 127.1 quarterback rating. Henry had an unreal 250 rushing yards on 34 carries and two touchdowns in the second matchup in Week 17.

The other two teams in the AFC South division are the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts. It's a long shot, but both teams have the assets to snag Watson. Of course, Houston trading the star quarterback to a division rival would be shooting itself in the foot.

So, the closer a Watson trade turns into reality, the better for Derrick Henry.
