Since last season, Derrick Henry has been a completely different running back for the Tennessee Titans and a certain Titans legend may know the reason why. Eddie George cites a conversation that he had with Henry in 2018 as the turning point for Henry's career, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

“He took it to heart,” George told NFL.com. “He took the benefits of the philosophy, took it to heart and ran with it. In my mind, he's been a changed man.”

Just last year, Henry was able to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career. In his third season in the NFL, the Titans' former second-round pick was finally flashing his potential as one of the best running backs in the league.

Following his 2018 campaign, Henry put together a truly remarkable season in 2019. The Alabama product took some time to find his stride but found his groove in the latter part of the regular season.

Altogether, Henry terrorized opposing defenses as he rushed for 1,540 yards on 303 attempts and 16 touchdowns. The 1,540 rushing yards led the league and Henry has carried his momentum into the postseason for the Titans.

In his first two playoff games thus far, Henry has combined for 377 yards on 64 carries. Most impressively, the running back that is basically a created player in a Madden video game produced those numbers against the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens—two of the best run defenses in the NFL.

Next up, Henry will look to continue his recent success for the Tennessee Titans versus the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. George, who will be an honorary captain for Sunday's contest, realizes that Henry is the key to Tennessee returning to the Super Bowl.
