The Tennessee Titans recently got a facelift on defense with their offseason acquisitions in defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and outside linebacker Vic Beasley. Although both of them have yet to attend their first practice with the team, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel has already slotted Clowney in the starting outside linebacker position.

The team will also have the three-time Pro Bowler in the facility for the first time on Tuesday and that they’ll see where he’s at physically while beginning to work on getting him up to speed on the defense. Clowney was fresh off a one-year stint with the Seattle Seahawks where he tallied 21 total tackles, 3.0 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles through 13 games played as a Pro Bowl alternate last season.

On the other hand, playing behind him is Vic Beasley who is a six-year veteran who previously came from the Atlanta Falcons. He recorded career-best numbers in assisted tackles with 14 and combined tackles with 42 in 16 appearances last season.

He then moved on from Atlanta and signed a one-year contract with the Titans during the offseason. However, he was only placed on the reserve/did not report list after a week-long holdout from camp back on July 28, 2020. He was eventually placed on the active/non-football injury list on August 11.

Meanwhile, third-year player Harold Landry is listed as the other starter at outside linebacker with five-year veteran Kamalei Correa and undrafted sophomore Derick Roberson completing the cast.

The Titans' offseason acquisitions bring much-needed depth to a shallow defensive rotation. Their new pieces will certainly be pivotal for their bid on another deep playoff push in the upcoming season.
