By now, you probably have heard that the Atlanta Falcons have traded Julio Jones to the Tennessee Titans. It's a big deal because Jones was a huge part of the Falcons in the last decade and when you consider where he was traded, the news just takes on a whole new level, as the Titans are now an even more terrifying team to face.

We are yet to see Jones don a Titans uniform without the help of Photoshop. For now, we can spend a few seconds watching the star wide receiver get off the plane in Tennessee, an action that basically amounts to saying that this is really happening.

If healthy, Jones will be a tremendous asset for the Titans. Somewhere out there is a grinning Ryan Tannehill. The Titans quarterback now has a lethal combo downfield consisting of AJ Brown and Jones, two incredible field-stretchers who also stand to benefit running back Derrick Henry. Opposing defensive coordinators in the AFC South are shaking and waking up in cold sweat in the middle of the night.

By trading for Jones, the Titans inherited his gargantuan contract from Atlanta's books. The Falcons wanted to offload Jones' onerous contract that would pay him $15.3 million in 2021 and $11.513 million for each of the next two years after that.

The Titans are not treating Jones as a problem for now though. All that matters to them is that they have a new explosive weapon to boost their offense that was fourth in 2020 with 29.6 points per game.
