Not all quarterbacks have an easy time in the NFL. Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota knows all of this too well.

Since being drafted as the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, his five seasons haven't lived up to expectations. And because of that, a lot of people are blaming him and wondering when the Titans will pull the plug on this experiment.

However, some writers are wondering when Mariota will get a better chance to succeed, like Oregon Ducks columnist John Canzano.

Any amount of this change for a young quarterback is something that will affect their potential. Especially with constantly changing play-callers every season and head coaches every other season.

A great example of this is current Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith. He dealt with the same dysfunction and changing players at these positions when he was with the San Francisco 49ers. And even before his time head coach Jim Harbaugh in 2011, people had already given him the bust label.

Maybe Canzano has a point with what he's bringing up. Maybe it's time for the former Duck to get out of Tennessee to find him some better success. The Titans are already prepared to get rid of him with backup Ryan Tannehill ready to be under center Tennessee wants to make the switch.

It's unsure of where Mariota would go if the Titans ever decided to just let him go or trade him. But his contract ends this year, so it's his choice to get out of Nashville and find somewhere he can have success.
