The National Football League's ‘Greatest of All-Time' conversation is one that has been talked about for decades. It's one where people discuss it at the water cooler after a massive playoff victory for a certain player. Or maybe between some friends over beers. Nevertheless, it's always been a hot topic. That is until Tom Brady essentially ended the debate.

Well, according to Ryan Fitzpatrick, that's not necessarily the case. While speaking on the Adam Schefter podcast, Fitzpatrick listed Peyton Manning as the “greatest quarterback to ever live.”

No one will ever argue that Peyton Manning is not among the greatest quarterbacks to ever play football. He undoubtedly is. But it is his biggest rival, Tom Brady, that has gone on to re-write the record books.

Yes, Brady has won seven Super Bowls to just two for Manning. But if you look beyond the championships, the resumes get even further apart.

For one, Brady won two thirds of the matchups against Manning head to head. He reached 14 conference title games, whereas Manning has the most home losses off of a bye week in NFL playoff history. Time and again, Manning and the Colts would underperform in the playoffs.

As great and as long as Manning played, Brady has now lapped the field in that regard. He is going to be 45 years old this season and will likely have the Buccaneers in contention for a Super Bowl run. Meanwhile, Manning's arm fell off the final season of his career when the Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl despite his best efforts.

It's possible that Fitzpatrick is not a fan of Brady's personally. After all, he spent much of his career playing for Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. Interestingly, Fitzpatrick lost to Tom Brady the second most of any quarterback ever (10). The quarterback who lost the most to Brady, yup, you guessed it, Manning (11).
