Travis Kelce didn't see this one coming. The NFL star was caught off guard by a celeb's question about his relationship with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Kelce was with actor Jason Sudeikis and comedians Robert Smigel and George Wendt in a comedy skit at the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend, where a moment has now gone viral on social media. The annual charity fundraiser in Kansas City became a hot topic over the weekend when Kelce reacted awkwardly to a question he asked about Swift.

“Travis, real talk, okay, just the guys here,” the “Ted Lasso” star said to Kelce adding, “When are you going to make an honest woman out of her?” Sudeikis continued.

“Taylor doesn’t need to be working anymore and, again, I know your kicker agrees with me. He gets it,” Sudeikis said referring to the controversial statement that Kelce's teammate Harrison Butker spoke about women and members of the LGBTQI+ community during a recent college commencement speech.

Kelce responded to Butker's comments on an episode of his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.

“He's treated family and family that I've introduced to him with nothing but respect and kindness. And that's how he treats everyone. When it comes down to his views and what he said at Saint Benedict's commencement speech, those are his,” Travis said. “I can't say I agree with the majority of it or just about any of it outside of just him loving his family and his kids. And I don't think that I should judge him by his views, especially his religious views, of how to go about life, that's just not who I am.”

Patrick Mahomes also spoke out about Butker's comments: “I've known Harrison for seven years. I judge him by the character he shows every single day,” Mahomes said to reporters after the Chiefs' voluntary practices. “We're not always going to agree, and there are certain things he said that I don't necessarily agree with. But I know the person he is and he's doing what he can to lead people in the right direction.”

As for Travis' reaction to Sudeikis, he smiled uncomfortably and seemingly wanted to end the conversation there.

What Do Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift See In Their Future?

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift with engagement rings surrounding them

Engagement rumors have been running rampant between the two amid the sight of their public romance, which kicked off back in September. However, they have been shut down several times and seems as if no wedding plans are in the couple's future — at least at this time.

“Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” an insider shared with Us Weekly back in May. “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”

While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is not planning to get down on one knee right now, he still adores his relationship with the Grammy winner, but“he’s just not there yet.”
