The UCLA Bruins did battle with the Memphis Tigers on Saturday. The result of the game is as baffling an outcome as there could possible be. That's the roundabout way of saying, you know, Memphis upset UCLA.

All the points were scored in this game. All. Of. Them. The Tigers beat the Bruins, 48-45.

This was a huge upset, especially when you consider the Bruins have an NFL-level gunslinger, Josh Rosen, at quarterback.

Rosen will likely come under a lot of fire for the loss. Despite hurling the pigskin around for 463 yards and four touchdowns, he also tossed two ill-timed interceptions, one of those going for six in the opposite direction.

With the outcome being decided by only three points, every expert — as well as their respective mothers — will point to that interception as the turning point of the game. That, or the second interception he hurled, which was with time winding down and it being UCLA's last chance to take the lead.

It will obviously be interesting to see how people treat the Bruins the rest of the way. While Memphis will bask in the afterglow of upsetting a “national” power, UCLA is likely to get hit with more scorn than that received by someone on the wrong end of an angered lover.

For Memphis, Riley Ferguson tossed the football around for an amazing 398 yards and six touchdowns.

I repeat: The Tigers gunslinger hit targets six different times for a touchdown.

Is Jim Mora now on the hot-seat or is this just an anomaly to what will otherwise be a good season?
