UFC featherweight Felicia Spencer has decided to retire from MMA after a dominant victory in her last fight. She was one of the pioneers of the UFC's featherweight division.

The news was first reported by FightBananas, who were given a statement by Felicia Spencer. The UFC fighter is ready to focus on other things, including her mental health.

“I have decided to stop pursuing this opportunity and have no intention to continue fighting,” Spencer said in the statement. “I felt as good as I’ve ever been in my last fight, and know I could have more great performances, but after 18 fights, including a few ‘wars,’ I know in my heart for my future mental health that I shouldn’t be in more of those wars.

“In the fight game that isn’t guaranteed, and I’ve shown myself that I won’t give up in the cage, so I need to protect myself by just not stepping in there. I’m thinking about myself and family 25 years from now. Mental health is an important consideration in my family.”

Felicia Spencer had a very good career as she notably competed for Invicta FC and the UFC. She fought for the title in both organizations, winning the title in Invicta before moving to the UFC.

Her last fight was a very dominant victory over Leah Letson at UFC Vegas 42 where she beat down her opponent for almost three rounds before finding the TKO finish.

Felicia Spencer retires with a professional record of 9-3. She fought from 2015 until recently in 2021.
