Andy Murray is absolutely furious with Stefanos Tsitsipas after losing to the third-ranked star in five sets in the first round of the U.S. Open.

Why?

Murray is pissed at Tsitsipas for taking multiple lengthy breaks, including two toilet breaks. One of those breaks came ahead of the decisive fifth set and took seven minutes, with Murray visibly frustrated as he complained to the umpire and match supervisor.

Via Luke McLaughlin of The Guardian:

“The toilet’s right there. What’s he doing in there?” a visibly agitated Murray asked Armstrong during Tsitsipas’s break. “It’s never once taken me that long to go to the toilet, ever.”

I'm not sure I believe Andy Murray here, but I understand his frustration in the middle of a U.S. Open match. Murray felt the breaks influenced the final outcome, with Tsitsipas ultimately winning that final set. The British star continued to trash the Greek:

“I rate him a lot, he’s a brilliant player and he’s great for the game,” Murray said. “But I have zero time for that stuff, at all, and I lost respect for him. If everyone else feels like that’s totally cool and there’s no issue with it then maybe I’m the one being unreasonable. But I think it’s nonsense and he knows it as well.”

Andy Murray even took to Twitter the morning after his U.S. Open defeat to get in a zinger. Don't mind the Bezos misspelling:

It seems like it's going to take Murray a while to get over this loss at the U.S. Open, if he ever gets over it at all. This has the makings of a good beef, and it's a rather hilarious one given the circumstances. Maybe Stefanos Tsitsipas just really had to go real bad and was dealing with some, ahem, uneasy bowel movements.
