After missing the first six games of the season, Gordon Hayward made his season debut for the Utah Jazz last November 6. However, even if he has made his return, it does not mean his injury has fully healed.

It can be recalled that the 26-year-old Butler product suffered a broken left ring finger during a preseason game and made a comeback earlier than expected, but despite his strong showing so far this year, he recently revealed how he's dealing with the pain he still feels and talked about how he plans to go through with it.

“It's one of those things where it hurts for a couple of minutes, throbs pretty good, but then it calms down and goes away. It's something I've got to deal with. … I think it's slowly getting better, but it's one of those things that when you keep hitting it, it's going to make it take longer. I want to be out there, though, so it's something I've got to play through.”

There still may be pain in his finger but that has not been noticed by many especially with the numbers he's been putting up so far in the young season. With averages of 19.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, he has not shown any signs of it and has continued to impress.

After they play their back-to-back set this weekend, the Jazz will have a two day break before their game on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets. Those days can work wonders for Hayward as he'll have extended time to rest his finger and help it heal even more.
