The Cleveland Browns are currently in a testy match with the New York Jets, still in search for their first win since 2016. The Browns’ chances of securing a victory this Thursday night didn’t look good in the first half, as New York scored on a pair of revenge touchdowns from former Browns running back Isaiah Crowell to put the Jets ahead, 14-3 at the half.

However, the Browns emerged out of halftime with renewed vigor. Led by rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield, who had to step in as a replacement for injured starter Tyrod Taylor, Cleveland was able to have more success on offense. Carlos Hyde scores the Browns’ first touchdown of the contest with a one-yard rumble to the end zone to cut the Jets’ lead down to six. Feeling bold, the Browns decided to go for a two-point conversion try and succeeded with their attempt with Jarvis Landry tossing the ball to Baker Mayfield, who caught it for a two-point score.

The Browns haven’t secured a win since taking down the San Diego Chargers in Week 16 of the regular season at home. If the Browns are going to defeat the Jets Thursday, that play from Mayfield and Jarvis Landry is likely going to be this game’s hallmark play.
