While there is no doubt both Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter will be Hall-of-Famers one day, it's hard not to ponder what could have been had the two been teammates a little bit longer.

It's been a long time since the two teamed up, but before all the All-Star appearances and All-NBA selections, the two cousins were teammates with the Toronto Raptors for two seasons from 1998 until 2000.

McGrady was a first-round selection of the Raptors in 1997, while Carter was acquired by Toronto on draft day in 1998. In their last season together in 1999-00, both players led the Raptors to their first playoff berth. While Toronto was swept in the first round, Carter had emerged as a star player as he averaged 25.7 points per game that year. McGrady proved to be a formidable “sidekick,” as he posted 15.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

However, McGrady left Toronto for the Orlando Magic in a sign-and-trade deal during the 2000 offseason. T-Mac would go on to win two scoring titles in Orlando as one of the NBA's top wing threats.

Fast forward to present day, where McGrady openly admits that he wishes he had stayed in Toronto:

Along with Kobe Bryant, both Carter and McGrady were two of the top wing threats in the NBA during the early and mid 2000's.

It isn't far-fetched to say that the Raptors probably would have been in the NBA Finals had the two cousins stayed together a little longer.
