Not many casual NFL fans have probably heard of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Chad Beebe, but it might not be that way for long. At this point, last season not even Vikings fans knew his name and now all signs point towards him having a big role on the team this year.

Many remember his dad Don Beebe and initially, that is what he was known for. Midway through last season, he was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster, and although he dealt with injuries that limited his production, he still showed glimpses of what he could do in the league.

He finished the season catching four balls for 39 yards, but there were many more chances that he was open, and defensive backs had all kinds of issues covering him.

Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski has been impressed with what he has seen and thinks things could be looking up for the second year pro.

“I think he's proven, he's played in some games and then you see him out here making some plays,” offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski said via ESPN. “I think he's making a name for himself and I think he's doing a nice job.”

Beebe doesn't have a guaranteed spot on the roster, but at this point, it would be a surprise if didn't do enough to lock up a spot.

Kirk Cousins needs as many weapons as he can get and anyone that can take the pressure off of Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen is an asset to the team.
