The Minnesota Vikings are actively seeking a replacement for Mike Zimmer after parting ways with their former head coach after eight seasons. One of the names frequently mentioned as a replacement for Zimmer is Michigan Wolverines' head coach Jim Harbaugh. Vikings fans seem to be in support of the rumors linking Harbaugh to Minnesota, and the recent comments from his brother John Harbaugh, head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, will have fans fired up. Via Jamison Henley of ESPN, John said that it would be a smart decision for the Vikings to hire his brother.

Harbaugh is believed to be interviewing for the Vikings' head coaching vacancy on Wednesday in Minnesota. He's one of a handful of candidates to sit down with the team, but it seems he's emerged as the favorite in recent days. After a successful year with the Michigan Wolverines, reports emerged suggesting that Harbaugh was itching for a return to the NFL.

Harbaugh last coached in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers, where he enjoyed a tremendous four-year stint. Jim amassed a 44-19-1 record with the 49ers, making the Super Bowl in 2012 but losing out to the Ravens and his brother John. He joined Michigan in 2015, where he's served as the head coach ever since.

The Vikings have yet to make an official announcement regarding their head coaching hire, but early indications suggest that it could be Harbaugh who is offered the job. His brother's latest comments will certainly add steam to the links between the Michigan boss and the Minnesota Vikings.
