Randy Moss knows it has been a disappointing season for the Minnesota Vikings, as their 6-9 record has eliminated them from the playoffs. However, from this disappointment, a gem has emerged and that is wide receiver, Justin Jefferson. Here is what Chris Tomasson had to say on Jefferson's historic feat:

He has now passed former Vikings great Randy Moss, one of the best wide receivers to ever play. Jefferson broke Moss's 1998 record of 1,313 yards. and is now behind Anquan Boldin and his 1,377 yards he amassed his rookie year with the Arizona Cardinals and Bill Groman's 1,473 yards from 1960, via Tomasson:

Also, Jefferson broke Moss's record of most receptions by a rookie wide receiver in just the 14th week of the season, via Lindsey Young of the Vikings.

This season has been one to forget for Kirk Cousins and the Vikings, but the potential that Jefferson has shown is a promising sign for the team. When paired with Adam Thielen, the duo could prove to be an unstoppable offensive threat in the coming seasons.

Fresh off of a national championship with LSU, Jefferson was drafted 22nd overall in the 2020 NFL draft. In his rookie season, he has broken two of Moss's records as well as brought in seven touchdowns. As his game develops this offseason, he will be a lot for many defensive backs to handle and may help the Vikings reach the top of the NFC North and into the playoffs.

Until then, the Vikings still have a lot of time against the Lions, and it would not be surprising to see Cousins continue to target Jefferson until the very end of the game.
