The Minnesota Vikings have won four straight games and Kirk Cousins has been a huge reason why. Due to his play over the past month, Cousins was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month in October, per ESPN's Courtney Cronin.

In the first four weeks of the season, Cousins had his fair share of struggles as Minnesota fell to 2-2 on the season. Over those four games, the veteran quarterback was a liability in the offense with 735 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Amid his struggles, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs expressed their frustrations with the team's passing attack. Cousins heard his wide receivers loud and clear and has been on a tear ever since.

The Vikings' franchise quarterback has completed nearly 80 percent of his passes for 1,261 yards, 10 touchdowns, and one interception in the past month. Additionally, he had three games of over 300 passing yards and two games with four passing touchdowns.

With this in mind, it was easy for the NFL to decide on who the best offensive player in the NFC was in October. Now, the question is: Can Cousins maintain this level of play for the rest of the season?

Throughout his career, Cousins has underwhelmed against winning teams in the NFL. In light of that, the Vikings will face five teams with a record of .500 or above in their final eight games.

Nevertheless, Cousins has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in the past month. But knowing the competitor that Cousins is, he isn't content with getting just a monthly award in 2019.
