One of the game-changing moments in the Minnesota Vikings loss to the Chicago Bears was when Mike Zimmer called a timeout late in the first half and after the game Zimmer called it a “bad mistake.

Right before the two-minute warning in the first half, the Bears lined up to punt and it appeared they were winding down the clock and ready to take a delay of game before punting the ball. Zimmer decided with a second left on the play clock to call a timeout.

After the timeout, the Bears decided to go for it on 4th down and converted. They got in field goal range and kicked a field goal to go up 10-0 instead of the 7-0 if Zimmer wouldn't have called the timeout.

The Vikings got the ball first coming out of half time and would have had a chance to tie the game, but after the field goal that wasn't the case.

The Vikings still had plenty of chances to come back in the second half even down 10-0 but they couldn't get the job done and now the question is where do they go from here?

They are still 2-2 but they have already lost two divisional games on the road and in a tough NFC North they can't afford many more slip-ups. They go on the road on Sunday to take on the Daniel Jones and the New York Giants and if they want to win, it's going to take a much better effort than what they showed on Sunday against the Bears.
