The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football. It should be a great game, as both teams are fighting for playoff position. Minnesota has been hit hard with injuries lately, but it sounds like there is some optimism regarding Dalvin Cook.
According to Ari Meirov, Dalvin Cook is officially questionable for Thursday night's game. This is an upgrade for the Vikings' star running back, as it means there is a legitimate chance Cook plays against the Steelers.

This is massive news for the Vikings. They're currently in the thick of the playoff hunt in the NFC and desperately need a win to stay alive. Having Cook back in the rotation will only benefit Minnesota, as he can be the difference-maker for this offense.
With the news that Adam Thielen won't be playing on Thursday, the Vikings need Dalvin Cook in the backfield. Justin Jefferson is likely to continue playing at a high level. However, if Minnesota can balance out the passing attack with a stout run game, they'll have a real shot at defeating Pittsburgh.
We'll see how it plays out, as Cook being questionable isn't a guarantee he will play on Thursday. At the very least, it likely means Cook will return in Week 15. Even so, the Vikings are currently 5-7 and need to get back on a winning streak to make an appearance in the postseason. For that reason, the coaching could play Cook against the Steelers to increase their chances of winning.
It's do-or-die time for the Vikings. Keep an eye on this franchise for now, as Dalvin Cook looks to be a game-time decision.
