The Minnesota Vikings, Kirk Cousins, and Chad Beebe were coming off an embarrassing home loss against the Dallas Cowboys last week and needed a bounce back performance in Week 12 against the Carolina Panthers if they wanted to keep their playoff hopes alive.

After two defensive touchdowns by the Panthers early in the game, the Vikings found themselves down by 11 points entering the fourth quarter.

After the Minnesota defense held the Panthers to a field goal late in the game, the Vikings got the ball back with two minutes to go, giving them one final shot to get into the end-zone.

Kirk Cousins put together a masterful 75-yard drive which ended in a Chad Beebe 10-yard touchdown catch to take the lead with only 46 seconds left to go in the game.

The Panthers put together an impressive last minute drive and got all the way to the Vikings 37-yard-line, setting up a 54-yard attempt for Panthers kicker, Joey Slye.

Slye could not convert the kick, however, and Chad Beebe becomes the hero of the game, moving the Vikings only one game out of a wild card sport in the NFC.

This was a much needed win for the Vikings who were without star receiver Adam Thielen in this one. Minnesota wins this one in dramatic fashion and gives them a fighting chance at making the playoffs.

They are set to play the Bucs, Saints, Bears, Jaguars and Lions to finish off their season. Sitting at 5-6, the Vikings will most likely have to win at least four games if they want to make the post season. This win was critical for the Vikings.

It at least keeps them in the NFC playoff picture, though the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, and Arizona Cardinals are all teams the Vikings will have to fight through in December and early January.
