Jordan Bell quite had an enviable rookie season. While he’s not considered as among the best of the best of his draft class, he’s the one who’s won an NBA championship right in his very first year in the pro league, so he could be forgiven if he went a bit crazy during the Golden State Warriors’ championship parade where he got off the motorcade and drank Hennessy off of a fan’s bottle.

That got the attention of the internet, but not everyone seems to be happy about it, including Bell’s teammate and league veteran, Andre Iguodala. In an appearance on KNBR 680 (h/t Drew Shiller of NBC Sports), Iguodala said that he asked Bell to stop his antics.

“I told him to stop doing that stupid stuff, but he's a rookie,” the 2015 Finals MVP said on KNBR 680. “He enjoyed himself. It was his first time.”

Obviously, Andre Iguodala was just messing with Bell, but he just wants the rookie to tone down on his celebration probably to avoid getting branded as a loose cannon this early in his career. “Let Nick Young and JaVale McGee take care of that stuff” is probably what Iguodala was really trying to say.

Iguodala also had something to say about Bell during the interview.

“Jordan actually listens … he wants to get better. So those are the guys that I like … he likes being on the court, he likes having success, he enjoys the game.”
