It appears as though Myles Garrett is switching positions. He must now be cornerback as his back-pedaling is obvious.

After once proclaiming Kevin Durant took the “easy way out” by joining the Golden State Warriors on 92.3 The Fan, he's since claimed he has “no beef with anybody” after an account called him out on Twitter.

Myles Garrett

Garrett, 22, is currently in the midst of his first NFL offseason coming off an impressive rookie season. In 11 total games, he finished with 11 sacks, 19 tackles, one pass deflection, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery with the Cleveland Browns after selected as the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

While on-air with 92.3 The Fan, honesty took over the moment—as it does for so many NBA fans—as it pertained to KD. Though the argument can be made he didn't necessarily back-pedal from the initial comment, his tweet can be considered as “backing down a bit” while making sure Durant knows there's no existing or ensuing beef.

Durant, of course, is coming off an NBA championship, his second such accomplishment in as many years with his new organization. KD, since joining the greatest team in NBA history (with a 73-9 record), has won two championships while raking in severe criticisms about his competitive nature.

I suppose Myles Garrett feels like so many out there who'd rather crush their competition than see the day they join 'em.

It's really an old-school mindset. When one block gets beaten down by the boys down the street, the last thing any of the kids will do is join up with those rival boys. They'd rather get right back on that blacktop and attempt to stick it to them.

Kevin Durant, obviously, didn't live on either block.
