For the second game in a row, the Golden State Warriors won’t have the services of the pair of forwards Draymond Green and Alfonzo McKinnie. Both players have been ruled out for Sunday’s meeting with the San Antonio Spurs on the road, as reported by Mark Medina of The Mercury News. This also means that the Warriors will finish their three-game Texas flyby without Green nor McKinnie seeing even a single second on the floor.

Green is nursing a sprained right toe, while McKinnie is dealing with a sore left foot.

The Warriors sorely missed the services of the two forwards during Saturday’s 112-109 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs had a field day scoring in the paint, outscoring Golden State in the shaded area, 50-38 while also outrebounding the defending champions, 58-30.

With Green and McKinnie both out again, the Warriors are likely to add more minutes than usual to the playing times of Kevon Looney, Andre Iguodala, and Jonas Jerebko.

The absence of McKinnie has also forced the Warriors to dip their hands in their G League affiliate’s roster, recalling the duo of Damion Lee and Marcus Derrickson to cover the temporary voids on the team’s roster.

The Warriors have won six of their last 10 games in San Antonio going back to March of 2016.
