Klay Thompson's return from injury has been the most heartwarming story in the NBA today. The Golden State Warriors star suffered two major injuries in the last two years. There were questions about how much of his past form he'd be able to regain when he returned this season.

Turns out, Klay was still pretty damn good. The Splash Brother has been electric in his return to the NBA playoffs, bringing his trademark shooting to bolster the Warriors offense. Against the Celtics in the NBA Finals, Klay Thompson overtook LeBron James in the three-point playoff leaderboard.

Thompson's shooting has been a key part in the Warriors' return to the NBA Finals. His dynamic with Stephen Curry has been the bane of their Western Conference foes, as he adds another layer to their dangerous motion offense. With him and Curry on the court, the Dubs have arguably the greatest offense in the playoffs.

To say that this production from Thompson was unexpected is an understatement. If you recall, the Warriors star suffered TWO major lower leg injuries in two years: an ACL tear in 2019 and an Achilles tear in 2020. There were serious doubts whether Thompson could even be half of the same player he was at his peak.

Turns out, we were completely foolish to doubt Klay Thompson. Now, he, along with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, have a chance to capture their first title since 2018. If they are successful, they will cement themselves as one of the greatest cores to ever grace the NBA.
