Omri Casspi and Zaza Pachulia are set to become teammates for the Golden State Warriors next season after Casspi signed a minimum deal to join the defending champions.

However, the two were on opposite sides at EuroBasket as Casspi’s Israel took on Pachulia’s Georgia in the group stage. But Casspi unintentionally gave his new Warriors teammate a helping hand by tipping in Pachulia’s missed free throw.

As if it wasn’t bad enough that Casspi tipped the ball through his own hoop, his timing couldn’t have been worse as his miscue extended Georgia’s overtime lead over Israel. Pachulia and Georgia went on to win the game, 104-91.

Casspi and Pachulia both played well for their respective teams. Casspi put up 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists while playing 39 grueling minutes. Meanwhile, Pachulia had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Casspi is having a great tournament thus far. He previously led Israel to a massive fourth-quarter comeback over Germany. Pachulia is looking good at EuroBasket as well, and produced a highlight reel move against the Germans.

But despite their impressive tournaments, Casspi and Pachulia will likely spend a good deal of time sitting together on the Warriors bench this upcoming season, and they should have a good chuckle about how Casspi gave Zaza a nice helping hand this summer.
