The Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the most active teams throughout free agency. They've successfully recruited a bunch of new players to LA with the hopes of recapturing the title for the upcoming season. For his part, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry recently admitted to being reduced to tears over one particular Lakers signing.

While he may not hold as much star power as his other new teammates, Kent Bazemore could still emerge as a key piece for the Lakers for the 2021-22 campaign. The 32-year-old veteran shared a few images of his official contract signing on Instagram, and this was where Curry came to his emotional admission:

Curry dropped in on the comments section to congratulate his former teammate, who spent last season with the Warriors. Steph admitted that it was a bittersweet moment for him personally and that he's quite emotional about this development (h/t Sam Leweck of Lakers Daily):

Curry was obviously joking around, but this does not take away from the fact that he holds a bit of regret now that Bazemore is with the Lakers. It looks like these two formed quite a bond together as teammates last season, which is why Steph is a little sad to see Baze go.

For his part, this will be Bazemore's second stint with the Lakers. He was with the Purple and Gold for a brief period during the 2013-14 campaign, and he's hoping that this reunion will result in a championship ring for him.
