It was a shootout in Boston between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics on Saturday night, with Stephen Curry and Jayson Tatum putting on a show. The Celtics wound up taking control in the final minutes to earn a 119-114 victory, ruining a 47-point night for Curry.

Tatum went toe-to-toe with Curry throughout, outscoring him in the first half, 23-22, and the big scoring didn't slow down there. While Curry finished the night with his 47, Tatum poured in 44 points of his own to help secure a sixth straight win for Boston.

The two were electric in the back-and-forth battle, making one big shot after another down the stretch. Although the Warriors lost the game, most of the players were in good spirits and didn't mind talking about Curry and Tatum's performances.

“Incredible. That was a big boy performance,” Draymond Green said about Tatum.

Green also told the media he expects Curry to make the tough shots he throws up, and even while expecting the ball to go in, he's still amazed at some of the baskets Curry makes.

For Curry and Tatum, missing a shot almost wasn't an option. It seemed as if defenders didn't exist if one of these two had the ball. The Warriors star shot 15-of-27 from the field and 11-of-19 from 3-point range, while the Celtics youngster shot 16-of-25 overall and 5-of-9 from 3-land. The two stars set the stage for a fantastic finish.

“It felt like a playoff game out there. Both teams were just gassed and competed like crazy. Just incredible. Particularly from Steph (Curry) and Jayson (Tatum),” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said.

Both teams came into Saturday's game with winning streaks, but only one group, the Celtics, finished the game with a win. The Dubs wanted to leave Boston with a victory but felt this was a good performance and remain optimistic about finishing the season positively.
