The Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks 109-100 in Game 3 of their Western Conference Finals series Sunday night. The Warriors now lead the best-of-seven series three games to none, all but clinching an NBA Finals berth for Golden State. No team in the history of the NBA has ever overcome a 3-0 series deficit.

During the Game 3 win, Stephen Curry once again had a huge impact. He led all Warriors players with 31 points on 10-for-20 shooting from the floor. He was also 50 percent from beyond the arc, going 5-for-10. Curry even had an impact affecting others, dishing out 11 assists and pulling down five rebounds. It was an all-around game for the future Hall of Fame point guard.

In the process, Curry joined only Michael Jordan and LeBron James in NBA playoff history.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, Curry became the third player in playoff history age 34 or older (joining MJ and LeBron) to record at least seven games of at least 30 points in the same post season. Both Jordan and James went on to win NBA Finals MVP in the seasons that they accomplished that feat.

The Warriors guard is likely far from done. There is at least one more game against the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night in Dallas. So, there's a decent chance he could have two more against the Mavs. Then there's the NBA Finals where he typically excels.

In Game 3 though, Curry also had lots of help, particularly from Andrew Wiggins' dominating performance.

Golden State is now just one win shy of reaching the NBA Finals for the sixth time in the last eight seasons. They went 3-2 in their previous five appearances
