Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry made NBA history on Tuesday night, breaking Ray Allen's all-time 3-point record in the first quarter against the New York Knicks. Waking up on Wednesday morning, Curry left a video message for his fans after the historic night, detailing just how grateful he is for all the support he's received.

The 33-year-old is just reveling in his accomplishment, and why shouldn't he? Curry overtaking Allen's record was a feat that, at one point in time, no one thought could ever be achieved.

The scene for Curry to overtake Allen could not have been better. To claim the record at the mecca of basketball, Madison Square Garden, was a truly special feat for the greatest shooter to ever step foot on a basketball court. Doing so with many NBA legends in the building, including former 3-point kings Reggie Miller and Ray Allen, is even more noteworthy. While Tuesday night's game was a battle between the Knicks and Warriors, most everyone in attendance was there in hopes of seeing Curry shatter the record, and the crowd went wild when he did.

Curry made five 3-pointers in the win over the Knicks on Tuesday, lifting his career tally to 2,977. His second deep ball of the game, which came early in the first quarter, was the one that pushed him past Allen and into sole possession of the record.

His video message to his supporters was just his way of taking some time to show his gratitude to the fans who have stood by his side through thick and thin.
