According to the latest data analytics, Nintendo is the most popular gaming brand worldwide from 2021 to 2023, maintaining its position as the king of the video game industry

Most Popular Gaming Brands Worldwide in 2023

According to the latest data analytics by Businessfinancing.co.uk, the Japanese multinational video game company was the most Google-searched gaming brand in the whole wide world. The survey revealed that Nintendo is popular in 30 countries across the world, including Croatia, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and more.

Closing in as the second place, BioWare trails Nintendo as the second most popular Google-searched gaming brand in the world, being searched in 27 countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Nintendo's long-time Japanese rival, Sega, was only popular in four countries. However, two of those countries, specifically Russia and India, are massive markets with huge consumer potential.

As for the most searched gaming brand in the United States of America, the Call of Duty developers, Infinity Ward, Inc., leads the Google searches of most Americans, comprising 40% of the total search volume within the country.

This survey is part of a much bigger study that determined which consumer brands have gained the most popularity across the globe from 2021 to 2023. To get the data for the study, countries generated varying volumes of Google searches for branded terms, which were then gathered and subsequently calculated for a more accurate representation of the eventual results of the study.

Nintendo's Continued Dominance in the Gaming Space

Nintendo's status as the most popular gaming brand in the world should come as no surprise to anyone. After all, a company that has existed for 134 years is something that is hard to go unnoticed.

Furthermore, Nintendo is responsible for breathing life into some of the video game industry's favorite video game franchises. Nintendo franchises like Pokemon, the Mario franchise (which had a massively successful movie adaptation last year), the Legend of Zelda, and many more have all made their own respective marks in popular culture.

That said, Nintendo's upward trajectory may not stop as a plethora of upcoming games and rumors about their new console are just over the horizon.
