Klay Thompson's Game 6 performance in the 2016 Western Conference Finals was hard to top. After all, it was when the miracle of Game 6 Klay was born. However, for Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob, Stephen Curry has already surpassed that display.

Speaking with Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, Lacob opened up why he rates Curry's Game 4 performance in the 2022 NBA Finals higher than that Game 6 from Klay in 2016. According to him, just the importance of the situation and the stage they were at made it really stand out to him.

“That was so exciting for me to see Steph have that kind of a Finals, and particularly Game 4,” Lacob said, per NBC Sports. “I want to point to this. To me, in person, since I’ve been the primary owner or the Warriors for 12 years, my favorite game … It was the Oklahoma City Game 6, the Klay game. I love that game. And there were one or two other candidates, maybe.

“But I will tell you, Steph Curry and Game 4, being down 2-1, 43 points. I mean, just unbelievable performance, and he should be heralded for that. I’m so happy for him, that he had just what is undeniably one of the great Finals performances.”

It's easy to see where Joe Lacob is coming from here. After all, what Stephen Curry did against the Boston Celtics was truly sensational. His Game 4 performance was also what basically sealed the Finals MVP for him.

Not to mention that the showdown basically became the turning point for the Warriors after struggling early on against the Celtics. The Dubs won three straight games, including that Game 4, and it's safe to say Curry was the catalyst of that.

Of course Klay Thompson's performance remains legendary, and people will surely never forget that. However, in Lacob's eyes, he has a new favorite Warriors moment.
