The Golden State Warriors are adamant that Jordan Poole should come away with this season's Most Improved Player award. Earlier in the week, Dubs star Draymond Green came out with a glowing endorsement for Poole as he talked up his teammate's credentials for the MIP title. The Jordan Poole hype train is picking up steam and right now, the latest passenger is Indiana Pacers rising star Tyrese Haliburton.

The Pacers guard recently took to Twitter to announce his picks for this year's individual awards and the most controversial of the bunch was the inclusion of Jordan Poole:

Joel Embiid and Tyler Herro are both the frontrunners for the MVP and the Sixth Man of the Year awards, respectively, so there's not much smoke there. Poole, on the other hand, isn't exactly a strong contender for MIP, which makes Haliburton's endorsement for the Warriors guard a bit contentious.

Right now, many consider Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant as the clear favorite for this year's Most Improved Player award. The third-year guard has been an absolute beast this entire year and it's hard to argue against his claim for MIP. Nevertheless, Haliburton does not agree with this notion and has just given his (unofficial) vote to Poole.
