As if the four straight years of fighting for the NBA crown was not enough, there are reports surrounding an alleged fight between Warriors forward, Draymond Green, and Cavdcenter, Tristan Thompson.

Just a month after the Warriors won their third championship in four years, Green and Thompson were in the same party in an undisclosed LA club after the commencement of the 2018 ESPY Awards.

After initially providing a clue couple of weeks ago that an encounter between NBA players went down at an LA club, Jason McIntyre broke out the details of the fight between the two big men. He said that Green approached Thompson with the intention of apologizing for ignoring Thompson’s handshake at the end of the Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

Players and fans know that it is customary that members of opposing teams shake hands with each other after a series was over. Obviously, Thompson was dissed with this unsportsmanlike conduct and vented his anger out by throwing a punch on Draymond after the latter tried to reconcile twice. McIntyre also added that, “Draymond Green was not the aggressor” and that, “he was trying to make peace.”

The Warriors do-it-all power forward has been involved in skirmishes during games and is known as the vocal leader of the championship team. His large number of technical fouls would attest to his aggressive style of play.

On the other hand, Tristan Thompson has been the main man in the middle for the Cavs. He was an important piece for their successful 2016 championship run, averaging a double-double of 10.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game in their comeback series against the Warriors. However, he has struggled recently as his numbers have gradually decreased in the past couple of years.
