The left finger injury Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry is dealing with is reportedly a more significant problem than he’s letting on, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Curry dislocated his left middle finger in Game 2 against the Houston Rockets and hasn't looked like himself since, although he stepped up big time for the Warriors in Game 5 after Kevin Durant went down:

A source close to Curry said the finger that he dislocated in Game 2 continues to be a more significant problem than he’ll let on, but he found a way to meet this moment.

In Game 5, Curry finished with 25 points, six rebounds, five assists and made three 3-pointers. The Warriors are going to need Curry to play like the two-time MVP he is moving forward since Durant is out for the rest of this series with his calf injury.

In the series against the Rockets, Curry is averaging 22.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists while shooting 39.4 percent from the field, 26.3 percent from beyond the arc and 85.0 percent from the free-throw line. Those shooting splits are not what we usually see from Curry. It's clear the dislocated left finger is bothering him.

The Warriors can finish off the series versus the Rockets in Game 6, which is on Friday in Houston.
