The Kansas City Royals finish their three-game trip to play the Seattle Mariners. It is time to continue our MLB odds series with a Royals-Mariners prediction and pick.

The Mariners took game one for the series on Monday, Luke Raley hit a two-run home run in the second, to give the Mariners the lead. Cal Raleigh would drive in a run in the third, and then Rayley would drive in another to extend the lead. The Royals would score twice in the eighth, but a Ty France home run would put it away, as the Mariners won 6-2.

Game two of the series will see Michael Wacha hit the mound for the Royals. He is 2-4 with a 5.15 ERA this year. Logan Gilbert will be on the mound for the Mariners. He is 3-1 with a 2.94 ERA.

Bobby Witt Jr. is scoring a bunch this year. He has scored 38 runs on the season. Witt is hitting .304 on the year with a .369 on-base percentage. He has 11 doubles, five triples, and five home runs. leading to 21 RBIs. Witt has also stolen 15 bases this year.

Over his last three starts, Marsh has pitched 15.1 innings, giving up just one run in the process. His worst game of the year was allowing four runs over five innings in a win. This year, the Royals have won all six games Marsh has started.

Why The Mariners Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Mariners are 23rd in the majors in runs scored this year while sitting 25th in batting average, 25th in on-base percentage,e and 19th in slugging. Cal Raliegh has led the way this year for the Mariners. He is hitting just .224 but leads the team with ten home runs and 24 RBIS. He also has a .310 on-base percentage and has scored 20 times this year.

Mitch Haniger is also having a solid year. He is hitting just .197 but has been productive overall. Haniger has gotten on base at a .258 rate and has five downland five home runs. This has led to 20 RBIs and 16 runs scored in the year. Julio Rodriguez has also had some solid production this year. He is hitting .255 with a .309 on-base percentage. Rodriguez has five doubles and two home runs, leading to 13 RGBIs. He has also stolen nine bases and scored 17 times on the year.

The Mariners are sixth in the majors in team ERA while sitting first in WHIP and opponent batting average.  Bryan Woo will be on the mound for the Mariners in this one. Woo has made just one start this year. In that, he pitched 4.1 innings and gave up one hit and one walk. He struck out three and did not allow a run in 4.1 innings of work. The Mariners would go on to win that game.

Final Royals-Mariners Prediction & Pick

This should be a solid game between two solid pitchers. Woo made a great first start of the year, but Alec Marsh has been amazing in his last three starts. The big difference in this game will be the offense. The Royals are hitting much better this year. The Mariners have relied heavily on just a few bats, and when they go cold in a game, they struggle to score. While the Royals are top-heavy as well in the lineup, they have multiple players who can produce. Take the Royals to get the win on the road in this one.
