The Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green has never been afraid to speak about anything. This year, he has been outspoken about the way the referees treat NBA players and if he has something to say, he makes sure everyone knows. That also extends to his teammates as he revealed before their Game 2 showdown against the San Antonio Spurs.

“Something needs to be said I'm going to say it. I'm not worried about staying fresh with someone, we are trying to win a championship. It's not about staying fresh in someone's ear it's about growing each and every day and if something needs to be said you can't let it slide.”

“We opperate a way that if something needs to be said you say it, so I definitely say it.”

He was then asked if that's why the Warriors are such a good fit for him because he can say what he wants. Green said that's why other teams don't win as much.

The Warriors are a very tight unit and they are used to winning. Steve Kerr also has grown the team to make sure that it's team-first basketball.

When a team does play worrying about a victory first it does make it a lot easier to hold players accountable for their mistakes.

Golden State was making a lot of mistakes going into the playoffs but something changed in Game 1 and they looked again like the team to beat to win the NBA Title. Maybe Green got into a few of the guys' ears and what he said sunk in.
