The third game in the Saints Row series finally arrives on next-gen consoles with the Saints Row: The Third Remastered. The game arrived on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 25, 2021. The game follows the story of the 3rd Street Saints. You play as the gang's boss who helped evolve the group into a media and consumer organization. Still, your rival gangs won't stop from hitting you hard just because you've turned all high and mighty. It's up to you in this game to put them in their place and take the Saints to newer heights.
The remastered version for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be released for free to current owners of the remastered version on the PS4 and Xbox One.
The Saints Row series started out as a parody of the popular Grand Theft Auto series. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and absurd gags are its bread and butter. However, the game garnered a huge following and has since made its own brand, playing off its own action-adventure gameplay and strong humor. The game also features multiplayer in its story mode, a feature unique to the game in its genre.
Saints Row: The Third originally came out in 2011 on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. It eventually released on the Nintendo Switch platform in May 2019. The Remastered version first came out on May 22, 2020, for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and on March 5, 2021, for the Google Stadia. Saints Row: The Third Remastered arrived on next-gen consoles on May 25, 2021.
