The first month of the season is now completed and fantasy football owners are clamoring to find replacements for their injured players. Luckily for you, this article will inform you of the injuries that could affect your fantasy team and some possible low-owned options to replace your injured players.

At this point in the season, a single injury could derail your chances of taking home your fantasy football championship. For example, if you selected Saquon Barkley with the No. 1 pick (like most people), you are attempting to survive without him in your lineup.

Additionally, if you're a Barkley owner and were unable to acquire Wayne Gallman on the waiver wire then you could be in a bind. Besides Gallman, there are other running backs you could target in free agency. Those players will be discussed in the article below.

With that being said, here is the Week 5 fantasy football injury report for every offensive position.

QBs:

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky (Out): The Chicago Bears offense finally showed some life in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins. They were preparing to take their newfound momentum on offense into Week 4 versus the Minnesota Vikings until Mitchell Trubisky left the game with a shoulder injury.

Fortunately for Chicago, Chase Daniel did a respectable job leading the offense in his absence. Trubisky has been ruled out in Week 5 and could miss an extended period of time. If you own Trubisky, you shouldn't consider replacing him with Daniel unless you're absolutely desperate in a deep or two QB league.

Jets' Sam Darnold (Out): Sam Darnold has been out since Week 1 with mononucleosis and it seems as if he'll be inactive for the team's third straight game. The Jets second-year quarterback was a limited participant in practice all week but he still isn't ready to suit up with no health risks coming into play.

Therefore, Luke Falk will start in his second straight game for New York. The Jets will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 and there is no need to start Falk under any circumstances in fantasy.

Bills' Josh Allen (Active): The Buffalo Bills lost their first game of the season in Week 4 to the New England Patriots. To make matters worse, Josh Allen took a devastating hit in the game and has been in concussion protocol throughout the week.

The Bills gunslinging quarterback was limited in practice until Friday and was cleared from the concussion protocol. The expectation is for Allen to be active on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Possible replacements: Bengals' Andy Dalton, Saints' Teddy Bridgewater, Jaguars' Gardner Minshew

RBs:

Giants' Saquon Barkley (Out): When Saquon Barkley was diagnosed with an ankle sprain in Week 3, he was given a timetable of four to eight weeks to return. Instead, the superhuman running back was seen at practice this week sprinting and making cuts on the field.

Despite his optimism to return, Barkley was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. With Barkley missing another week, fantasy owners can have one more week where Wayne Gallman is relevant in fantasy.

Colts' Marlon Mack (Questionable): Marlon Mack has been a solid option in fantasy this season but an injury could keep him out in Week 5. The Indianapolis Colts running back has been dealing with an ankle issue for the past couple of weeks.

After failing to practice twice this week, Mack was able to participate in practice on Friday. Regardless, pay close attention to his status ahead of Sunday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. If Mack is unable to go, Nyheim Hines would likely get the bulk of the touches.

Steelers' James Conner (Questionable): Similarly to Mack, James Conner is recovering from an ankle injury. The Pittsburgh Steelers running back suffered the injury in Week 4 but continued to play through it.

Earlier in the week, things looked bleak for Conner as he failed to participate in practice for consecutive days. Luckily for the Steelers, their featured back is expected to be active on Sunday versus the Baltimore Ravens.

Possible replacements:  Buccaneers' Ronald Jones, Steelers' Jaylen Samuels, Colts' Nyheim Hines (only if Mack is out)

WRs:

Packers' Davante Adams (Out): Last week, Davante Adams was on his way to having one of the best games from a WR this season. Sadly, the Green Bay Packers wideout made an early exit with a toe injury.

Following his inability to practice in any capacity all week, the Packers ruled him out for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. With Adams being inactive, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison aren't terrible options if you are in need of a replacement.

Steelers' JuJu Smith-Schuster (Active): In the first four weeks of the season, JuJu Smith-Schuster has been a let down in fantasy football. Without Ben Roethlisberger, the energetic wide receiver is no longer a must-start option.

Along with his disappointing numbers, Smith-Schuster is now dealing with a toe injury. The Steelers go-to wide receiver practiced on Friday and is officially active against the Ravens in Week 5.

RECOMMENDED (Article Continues Below)

Patriots' Julian Edelman (Active): In Week 3, Julian Edelman sustained a chest injury that caused him to leave the game early against the New York Jets. Nonetheless, that didn't stop him from playing in Week 4 versus the Bills.

The veteran pass-catcher is still dealing with the same chest injury but is active for Sunday's contest against the Redskins.

Possible replacements: Packers' Marquez Valdes-Scantling or Geronimo Allison, Falcons' Mohamed Sanu, Patriots' Phillip Dorsett (if Edelman is ruled out)

TEs:

Steelers' Vance McDonald (Active): The Steelers will host the Ravens in Week 5. The team's starting tight end is dealing with a shoulder injury that sidelined him in Week 4.

McDonald hasn't practiced all week but is listed as active for Sunday.

Ravens' Mark Andrews (Questionable): On the other side of the game, Mark Andrews is also listed as questionable for Week 5. However, the second-year tight end has a foot injury that has lingered since Week 1.

At the same time, the injury hasn't prevented Andrews from playing yet this season. Expect the Ravens tight end to suit up on Sunday but just to be safe; make sure he is officially active before starting him.

Possible replacements: Bengals' Tyler Eifert, Colts' Eric Ebron, Texans' Jordan Akins
