The New York Giants ended their season with a whimper, failing in their bid to return to relevance. They do have exciting young talent in the team, but they haven't found the perfect coach to take the Giants back to the summit. Since it's clear that they need to find a quality coach to lead the way, the Giants may want to consider getting Urban Meyer on their side.

The college football icon has not led from the sidelines after enjoying 17 years of success in college. He may be looking for a bigger challenge to test his skills, and there's no bigger stage than the MetLife Stadium. If given the opportunity, he should be able to transform the Giants into one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the National Football League.

One of the reasons why the Giants should consider getting Meyer for their squad is his incredible CV. He's experienced much success in his 17 years as a head coach, and that alone should convince the Giants' front office to give him a much closer look.

The most obvious barometer for his success is the seven years he spent with the Ohio State Buckeyes. He led the team to a College Football Championship in 2014 and to six straight bowl games. The Buckeyes were never out of the national spotlight, always ranked among the top 25 programs during his tenure at the sidelines.

Ohio State wasn't his only productive stop in his coaching career. He made his breakthrough as a coach at Florida, where he won a lot during his six years at Florida Field. He won two BCS Championships with the Gators and were perennial bowl participants as well. His ability to lead teams to winning seasons is one that cannot be denied.

However, his winning pedigree isn't the only reason why the Giants should consider getting him. Since he's still not that far removed from the college game, he still knows how to speak the language of his young players. That is definitely what the Giants will need as they'll be counting on their youth to build them up in the coming years.

Their two best players are Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones, and both of them are under the age of 24. Moreover, they'll be drafting another young star in the coming draft. The Giants need a figure who can help them become the best versions of themselves on and off the field, and Meyer can definitely provide that.

There's still no word on who will take the reins for the Giants, but they won't be making a mistake by taking a risk on Urban Meyer. He has what it takes to help Giants football become exciting again.
