The Atlanta Hawks‘ Will Bynum is one of five players currently competing for a roster spot on the team. He was signed by the Hawks as a possible back-up point guard to provide steady playmaking while relieving their starter, Dennis Schroder.

But on Sunday night, Bynum showed that there is more to his game than just setting plays. After seeing the ball get stolen by Orlando Magic guard D.J. Augustin on a pass directed to him, the 6-foot guard did not give up on the play and made a chase-down block that denied Augustin of an easy basket.

Although there's no guarantee that he'll make the final roster, Bynum is definitely making a case for himself. He has the experience of playing at the highest level as he is an eight-year NBA veteran and also played overseas. Should he be signed by the Hawks, he would be a significant locker room voice.
