Bradley Beal led Team USA's offensive attack in their exhibition win over Argentina on Monday night, snapping the United States' two-game losing streak in these Las Vegas friendlies.

The losses to Nigeria and Australia reminded everyone that Team USA's competition is slowly but surely moving in the right direction. Despite missing the services of Devin Booker, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday, who are all playing in the NBA Finals, Beal and co. do not have any business playing this way even during exhibition play.

In an article by Masslive.com's Souichi Terada, Bradley Beal talked about head coach Gregg Popovich's message on not letting their guard down against other countries.

“Our biggest thing is we have to realize it’s not the NBA. Coach Pop keeps emphasizing that every single day. It’s way more physical. Guys are smarter, these guys have been playing together for 10-plus years.”

Gone are the days when Team USA can afford to eat at a gas station then proceed to beat opponents by a whopping margin. These international players aren't ones to ask for a picture to be taken with NBA stars during the games. Times have changed along with the global game. The top two names in the 2020-21 MVP race are international players.

Some say officiating plays a significant role in the adjustment curve of Team USA, and that's probably true. FIBA rules are different and so-called superstar calls are non-existent. Beyond those factors, it's the fact that Beal and his teammates lack enough run together thus far.
