It didn't take long for Russell Westbrook to be among the Washington Wizards franchise leaders in triple-doubles made. Brodie recorded his eighth triple-double of the season on Saturday in the Wizards' 118-111 win over the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center.

Westbrook has now leapfrogged John Wall and Wes Unseld, who each recorded seven triple-doubles in their respective careers in Washington, for second place in the franchise's record books. Darrell Walker currently occupies the top spot with 15 triple-doubles.

If Russell Westbrook continues to casually drop triple-doubles at this rate, no doubt he'll be the Wizards' all-time leader in this category by season's end in just his first year with the team. The one-time NBA MVP did average a triple-double for three consecutive seasons, so he is certainly capable of doing so.

Against the red-hot Blazers, the 32-year-old playmaker recorded all-around numbers of 27 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists, while making 11 of his 17 shots from the field in 37 minutes. Moreover, Westbrook's brilliance allowed the Wizards to snap the Blazers' six-game winning streak.

But as great as Westbrook's numbers have been since moving to DC, the Wizards haven't exactly been better since they still hold a 10-17 slate for 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings. But it is worth noting that the team is finally playing their best basketball as of late, extending their longest winning streak of the season to four.

Westbrook has been averaging close to a triple-double in his first tenure in the Capital, putting up 18.9 points, 9.4 rebounds and 9.5 assists in 19 games.
