Russell Westbrook turned back the clock on Thursday night as the Washington Wizards took on the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden.

Russ loves playing in the Mecca of Basketball, and he made sure to make his mark on Thursday with this emphatic tomahawk jam (h/t Hoop District on Twitter):

The Wizards came away with a steal courtesy of All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal which opened up the floor for Westbrook on the fastbreak play. With no one ahead of him, it was clear that we were going to be in store for a Westbrook special, and the former league MVP certainly did not disappoint.

Oh, and don't forget about his post-tomahawk mean mug and muscle flex combination. Classic Russ.

The Wizards pulled the trigger on a four-player trade on deadline day as they struck a deal with the Chicago Bulls. Washington parted ways with Moritz Wagner and Troy Brown Jr. as they sent the pair to Chicago. In exchange, the Wizards get Chandler Hutchinson and Daniel Gafford. As it is, the trade does not look like it will have a significant impact on DC's season the rest of the way.

Washington came into Thursday's matchup behind two straight losses, and they're hoping to get one back against the Knicks.
