It hasn't been a particularly good week for the WWE wrestler formerly known as Matt Riddle.

He lost a big-time stipulation match to Roman Reigns that will keep him from wrestling for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship for the remainder of this current run on SmackDown, was overshadowed by the return of Brock Lesner, and was then beaten by Omos in their Money in the Bank qualifying match that could have been the lone-loophole to his agreed upon championship match conditions.

That right, after taking to the ring in a Randy Orton-themed shirt and detailing to the fans in attendance and at home his clever workaround to his stipulation loss, MVP tore him down with a High-ly entertaining pre-match promo, and the “Original Bro” suffered a loss to “The Nigerian Giant” without putting up much of a fight.

Had that been the end of the segment, it would have been a disappointing conclusion to Riddle's immediate title hopes, but in true WWE fashion, things just kept going. After calling out Seth Rollins during his pre-match promo, Riddle was jumped in the ring by the former Shield member and taken to task via a big-time curb stomp.

Will Riddle get his revenge? Or will Seth win Money in the Bank and then cash in on his former friend Roman Reigns, a plan he foolishly let slide on national television for the whole world to see? Either way, it's clear build-up to Money in the Bank might just have a few more surprises than fans expected.
