The New York Yankees offense erupted in a 12-8 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium, as the team clubbed five home runs in the defeat of their division rival. First baseman Anthony Rizzo made a piece of franchise history in the win, as he enjoyed the first three-homer game of his career. Rizzo's incredible performance drew an exciting take from Yankees manager Aaron Boone, as reported by Lindsey Adler of The Athletic.

“I think he will be someone who should be able to take advantage of that porch,” Boone continued. “I think he likes Yankee Stadium, and after tonight, I think it sealed it that this is definitely a place he likes to hit.”

Per Adler, Boone feels that Rizzo will “be able to take advantage of that porch.” Boone is referring to the dimensions of Yankee Stadium, which features the shortest distance to the right-field fence in the majors at 314 feet.

Rizzo certainly took advantage of the short porch in right against the Orioles, as each of his three home runs traveled over the fence in right. Given that the veteran first baseman is on pace for a career-high 62 percent pull rate this season per FanGraphs, Yankees fans should expect Rizzo to take advantage of that short porch more often.

It's safe to say that Rizzo definitely loves to hit at Yankee Stadium.
